General Guiding Conditions
By participating in a CIC coursse, you automatically become a member of
the association. As a canyon guide of the CIC we ask you to respect the
following rules :
- Follow an update training every two years after module 2
- Support the association, especially by providing important information concerning canyoning
- (accident reports, canyon closures, news articles, etc.) to your national representative
- Respect the guide/client ratio of 1 guide for 7 clients, 2 guides for 7 clients in difficult canyons
- Limit yourself to a maximum of 15 clients within one group
- Guide and clients have to wear helmets at all times while in a canyon
- Always carry the minimum recommended first aid kit with you
- Use two lanyards at your harness (i.e. the Spelegyca from Petzl)
- Carry a rescue rope
- Use of the SAFER and follow the recommandations given during the courses.
If you do not respect these rules you risk loosing your CIC certification.
The student can cancel the reservation any time before the course starts. He must inform the CIC in writing. In case of cancellation or no show, the CIC has the right to ask for the following cancellation fees:
- Cancellation 60 days or more before the course starts : 25 Euros per person cancelation fees
- (+ non refundable expenses that may have be engaged).
- 59 to 30 days : 25% of the course fee ;
- 29 to 22 days : 50 %;
- 21 to 1 day(s) : 90 %;
- No show : 100 %.
