Modul 3 - der Abschlusskurs
Modul 3 stellt den letzten Teil des Kursblockes dar. 10 Tage lang werden die in Modul 1+2 gelernten Techniken nun in den verschiedensten Canyons umgesetzt. Die Begehung von mindestens 7 verschiedenen Canyons soll in den 10 Tagen vorbereitet, durchgeführt und nachbereitet werden. Neu hinzu kommen nur noch Techniken für Sonderfälle und Rettung.Modul 3 ist als mobiles Camp konzipiert. Gestartet wird in Südfrankreich, von wo aus es den gesamten Kurs dann über Italien bis in die Schweiz führt. Dabei arbeiten die Kursteilnehmer selbständig. Die Ausbilder stossen immer nur zu den Canyoningtouren, dem Debriefing und dem Briefing für die nächste Tour hinzu. Somit ist der Kurs im Speziellen in der zweiten Hälfte ganz klar auf selbständiges Arbeiten ausgerichtet. Dies wird in Modul 3 gelehrt und wie in den vergangen Modulen auch täglich evaluiert.
Einen Höhepunkt stellt zudem das Helikoptertraining dar. Eine Besonderheit in der Ausbildung, die, sofern es die Wetterverhältnisse zulassen, einen besonderen Reiz darstellt. Die Kursteilnehmer werden in die Verhaltensmassnahmen rund um Helikopter eingewiesen und es wird auch geflogen.
Kursverlauf
- Kursstart in Südfrankreich. Voraussichtliche Aufenthaltsdauer: 3 Tage
- Weiterfahrt nach Italien (Küste): Aufenthaltsdauer: 2 Tage
- Weiterfahrt in den Norden Italiens. Aufenthaltsdauer: 1 Tag
- Weiterfahrt in die Schweiz (Tessin). Aufenthaltsdauer: 4 Tage
- Theorieprüfung am Abend vor dem letzten Kurstag
- An allen Kurstagen wird wie gewohnt evaluiert
Zugangsvoraussetzungen
- Die Zugangsvoraussetzungen entsprechen denen von Modul 1+2
(siehe Detailinfos ganz unten)
- Hinzu kommen: erfolgreicher Abschluss von Modul 2 und 10 Tage Praktikum in Unternehmen

Theorie
Die Theorie-Einheiten aus M1+2 werden im Schnelldurchgang wiederholt.Programminhalte
Die Inhalte von Modul 3 können dem aktuellen Lehrplan entnommen werden.Bewertung
Es werden in den verschieden Schwerpunktgebieten Schulnoten von 1 bis 5 vergeben. Am Ende von Modul 3 werden die Tagesevaluationen zusammengefasst. Ein Notendurchschnitt von 2,5 muss erreicht werden. Wer dies schafft, wird zur Theorieprüfung zugelassen.Hauptaugenmerk wird gelegt auf :
- Soziales Verhalten
- Praktisches Können und theoretisches Wissen
- Sportlichkeit
- Engagement
Und danach ...
Wer Modul 3 erfolgreich besteht, muss noch 10 "Erfahrungstouren" absolvieren. Danach kann er für einen Termin zur Führungsprüfung anfragen, die die finale Prüfung darstellt (Praxis und Canyon). Solange bleibt man im Status eines "CIC Canyonführer-Assistenten". Erst danach gilt die Ausbildung als abgeschlossen und bei erfolgreichem Beschluss darf der Titel "CIC Canyonführer" getragen werden.
Modul 3 kann seit dem Ausbildungsjahr 2005 nicht sofort im Anschluss an Modul 1+2 besucht werden ! Es wird erst das Führungspraktikum verlangt. Die Führungsprüfung muss innerhalb von zwei Jahren nach Abschluss von Modul 3 durchgeführt werden.

Module 3 - the final course
Module 3 is the last part of the course block. All technics learned in module 1+2 will be trained and "finished" only in canyons. The descent of at least 7 different canyons has to be planned, done and reinforced during the 10 days of the course. A few new technics will be included for special cases and rescue.Module 3 is a mobile camp. It starts in the South of France and moves via Italy to Switzerland. The students work independently - so there is no "must" to stay together during the course time. The instructors will show up for the canyoning trips, briefings and debriefings. During the first part of module 3 teamwork (organized by the group) is welcome but especially the second half of the course is focused on independent work of each student. The students are evaluated daily as it is already known from module 3.
A highlight of module 3 is the helicopter training, a very special task in the training if the weather conditions allows it. The students learn how to act when a helicopter comes into the game and they will fly as well.

Theory
All important theory lessons of module 1+2 will be repeated quickly.Evaluation
School grades from 1 to 5 will be given in different major subjects. At the end of module 3 the average of the daily evaluations will be calculated. An average of 2,5 is necessary to succeed and to have the right to go to the theory exam.Major subjects are:
- Social behavior
- Practical skills and theory
- Sport and endurance
- Engagement
And afterwards ...
After module 3 each student has to do 10 canyons to get more experience with the learned technics. He will be accepted for the final exam (guiding and technical exam) after these 10 days. In the meantime the student is still carrying the title of a "CIC canyon guide assistent". Only after succeeding the final exam he will become a "CIC canyon guide".
Since 2005 module 3 can not be visited immediately after module 1+2. The internship in a company has to be done first. The final exam has to be done within two years after having succeeded module 3.
